Privacy policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026.
This is a translation of the Portuguese policy. If the two versions differ, the Portuguese one prevails.
Who we are
Antes de Comprar (antesdecomprar.net) brings together tools to plan purchases: the Wi-Fi Planner, the Camera Planner and, once it launches, the PC Builder. This policy covers all of them.
Data controller: Vinicius Santos, an individual based in Brazil. Contact for privacy matters: contato@antesdecomprar.net.
Summary
- There are no user accounts: you use the tools without signing up.
- Wi-Fi Planner and Camera Planner projects stay in your browser and never reach a server of ours.
- Nothing from Google loads before you make your cookie choice, and that choice applies to every tool.
- When a tool sends a search to the server, the text is never stored together with your IP address or any other identifier.
- Your IP address is only used as a scrambled code (hash) with a salt that changes every day, to limit excessive requests.
- Telegram or browser notifications only with your explicit consent.
- Affiliate links are labeled: we may earn a commission on purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you.
What stays in your browser
The tools save preferences and projects in your browser's local storage (localStorage), on your device. Each tool uses keys named after it (pc:, wifi:, camera:). Keys that apply to the whole site start with hub: your cookie choice is stored in hub:consent and your chosen language in hub:lang.
This data is not sent to us. To delete it, clear the site's data in your browser settings.
In the Wi-Fi Planner and the Camera Planner, a project link carries the whole project in the part of the address after the # sign. Your browser does not send that part to the server, and the page removes it from the address bar after reading the project. The floor plan background image is not included in the link. Anyone who receives the link can see the project, including where the cameras are in the Camera Planner; share it only with people you choose.
Cookie banner
A tool that uses Google services shows a notice asking whether you accept advertising and analytics cookies. Nothing from Google loads before you answer. Your choice is stored in your browser, in the hub:consent key, and applies to every tool on the domain. You can view, change or delete it in the Your cookie choice section.
Google Analytics 4
The Wi-Fi Planner and the Camera Planner count visits with Google Analytics 4: which pages were viewed, where the visit came from, the type of device and tool usage events. We use these numbers to learn what is useful and what needs improving.
Google Analytics runs with Google's Consent Mode v2. If you accept, it may set cookies to tell visits apart. If you decline, all four consent signals (ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are denied: no Analytics cookie is set, and Google receives only cookieless signals that do not identify you.
Google AdSense
The Wi-Fi Planner and the Camera Planner show Google AdSense ads. If you accept cookies, Google and its partners may show personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites. If you decline, ads are not personalized; Google may still use cookies to limit how often an ad appears and to fight fraud.

- To turn off Google's personalized advertising on every site, use Google's ad settings.

Feedback form
The Camera Planner may show a "Send feedback" button. The form belongs to Tally (tally.so) and only loads when you click the button. It receives the text you write and the page address, never your project. The data you send is covered by the Tally privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which acts as its host and content delivery network (CDN). To deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address and the browser you use. The site does not use Cloudflare cookies to track visits, and the site's router does not keep request logs. The Cloudflare privacy policy also applies.
PC Builder
The PC Builder is not open to the public yet. The rules in this section and the next three apply from its launch; if anything changes, this page changes first.
When you describe the PC you want, the text goes to our server to become filters, such as budget, games and use. To do so, the text may be sent to an artificial intelligence service (Google Gemini), without your IP address and without any identifier.
To answer repeated searches faster, we keep a code (hash) of the text and the resulting filters for up to 30 days, without IP address and without identifier. A saved or shared build keeps only the parts list, with no owner. Builds that nobody has opened for 180 days are deleted, except those used by price alerts.
To prevent abuse, the server computes a hash of your IP address with a salt that changes every day; the IP address itself is not stored. The search and the contribution form use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the submission is not automated. The Turnstile privacy terms apply.
PC Builder: price alerts
You will be able to ask for an alert when the price of a part or a build drops, through a browser notification or Telegram. Notification permission is only requested when you click to create an alert, never when you open the site.
We store the alert delivery data encrypted: the browser subscription or the Telegram chat. An alert expires after 90 days unless you renew it. The code to manage the alert stays in your browser; the server keeps only a hash of it.
PC Builder: contributions
If you send a contribution (a part, a game, a correction or a suggestion), we keep the content, the sources you point to and, if you wish, a nickname for credit and your Telegram for notices. We also keep the daily IP hash, to limit abuse. Nothing is published without human review.
PC Builder: Shopee links and commission
The PC Builder's "Ver na Shopee" buttons are affiliate links: we may earn a commission on purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you. The commission does not change the order or the choice of parts. We count clicks per offer and per page type, without IP addresses. On Shopee, Shopee's privacy policy and cookies apply.
Your rights
Under article 18 of Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018), you may request:
- confirmation that we process data about you, and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the law;
- portability of the data to another provider;
- deletion of data processed with your consent;
- information about whom we share data with;
- information about the option of not giving consent and what happens if you do not;
- withdrawal of consent, which you can also do in the Your cookie choice section.
We handle these requests from anyone who uses the site, wherever they access it from. Because there are no accounts, we often cannot link a piece of data to you. Write to contato@antesdecomprar.net and tell us what you need. You may also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), whose site is in Portuguese.
